Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

NO EXCUSE!

Is my area expecting up to 12” of snow?
Yes.
Does my LOB have the capability to WFH?
Yes.
Did my LOB get the ok to WFH?
Absolutely not.
All the BS talk on Flagscape about how BofA cares about employees, is a joke.
Hopefully those who have to travel in the dangerous weather do so safely.

1-finger salute to all the top brass!

Happens to us down south.. only it’s hurricanes. We can’t plan, prep, or evacuate because the company waits until the damn thing is over us before they send an email letting us off the hook- working from home is great until the bank leans on it to keep you tied to your laptop vs prepping for a storm or evacuation.

A. The bank has no liability if you get hurt on the way to or from your office.

B. Your office probably has doors marked Exit. They’re handy if you don’t like where you work.

Not surprised. Governor declared state of emergency. Over 20k without power in my area but I’m made to use sick time. BofA does not care. You’re just a number.

@OP+1jgwbw2qq and others—unless you’re in a role requiring 5-days in office you have flexibility and the whining is silly

You're expected to work in the office unless the office is closed. Then and only then you'll be expected to work from home, meaning the company requires you to have constant internet service at home that they don't chip in on, otherwise you must use a sick day. I can't imagine why engagement and morale are in the cr-pper

I keep telling you mutherfockas on this forum that Bank of America doesn't give a rats azz about you. If you go to work in this inclement weather and get ki-led. This company will have you replaced the next day. The bank is a going concern. It will continue despite if you come or not.

If the local municipality has issued statements against travel, and especially if your governor has issued a state of emergency for your area - you can tell your manager to kiss your tailpipe. The bank would be at such a huge liability if you were to get hurt or cause someone else to get hurt because they defied the advise of the state/local guidance… If your manager is insisting you travel under those conditions, then report them to HR.

You can't miss a day of culture and collaboration or the company stock will tank and it will be your fault. Now get to the office so you can attend those webex meetings all day. People act like personal safety comes before draconian rules meant to make people want to quit.

@OP+1jgwbw2qq Take a sick day as a foot of snow is depressing enough for homeowners and most importantly to drive in it. i would be surprise that your LOB's top brass in the mid-atlantic states can drive in a foot of snow themselves.
