Seeking inputs: how to tackle “ Dreadful Monday”

Any thoughts on how you tackle the absolute gut wrenching feeling of facing Mondays in this horridly toxic place? Pretending to be all okay when I want to run away from people as if they had the plague? Pretending to “get it” “understand” the absolute horrendous senseless strategies that will be out before the quarter ends? Love to get some thougts…

P.S: I have gotten professional help, and am on medications and am looking out. So genuinely appreciate honest thoughts…

Input is both plural and singular.

Seeking inputs is gibberish.

Take as many training classes as you can, and make sure your LinkedIn profile is connected and that you allow it to post the classes you've completed.

Every time I take some random AI course my LinkedIn profile gets multiple hits from recruiters in the following days.

As stated, try to get your emergency fund in order. Also calculate what your sub pay would be if you got laid off, and how much you'd get from your state's unemployment payments. I've been here long enough that between sub pay and unemployment, I could take six months off and come out ahead.

To add,
Look at people who are worse than you - from both inside the firm who were let go with fabricated data points and due to no fairness when it comes to performance measurement. Outside, look at others who have a lot more challenges in life.
If you have an idea on the next RIF dates, work from home on Monday and Tuesday to avoid more hurt.
Use internal learning resources to the best. That is one good thing with this firm.

Feel you! My two cents, try to finish the job and disconnect after work hours as much as you can.Do not check emails in your phone, don’t respond after office hrs etc..Try to shore up that emergency fund which can settle the financial side of things, start your job search aggressively..if things go out of hand, try switching teams and buy time, resign if it harms your mental health..you are accountable for your family, start building a ‘It is just a job’ mentality, this doesn’t mean shredding our responsibilities but a view that reiterates we don’t control everything..Good luck!
