Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Every new manager is worse than the last

We get a new manager every six months on average (which is a problem in itself), and each one is somehow worse than the one before. We're now on our fourth manager in two years, and it’s starting to feel like the only qualification for the position is having no experience. It's absolutely ridiculous how bad it's gotten.

It's called DEI. That's what happens when you promote and hire unqualified people for lower wages so that you can look good to the woke progressives!

After 5 years I questioned top management about incompetent managers.
I was let go😂 But no regrets.
some of them are purely for approvals and jobs safe till they retired . They enjoy free money with our sweat.

Management? What’s that?
These things they hire are just ‘whack a mole’ hammers

Luckily, they don't let managers manage anyway. They just have to pass down mandates from above without questioning them.

Unfortunately the same happened to me before I quit. BNY’s salary compared to market speaks for itself. You get what you pay for.
