The no bonus/ increase plan is clearly on flagscape if you search for the incorrectly named Pay for Performance topic. Why was this never communicated to employees? Why work people into the ground and then tell them no pay raise or bonus. It’s beyond cruel.

when you flood the labor force you can treat people like disposables
they don't care about the long term or the bank's reputation
they just want their profit now no matter what
all future employees will see this and adjust their behavior accordingly
from quiet quitting, to giving partial truths, to putting in the minimal amount of effort
then things will decline over time, think India or something like that
