3 Client Relationship Managers Promoted After Layoffs

After all the layoffs, only 3 Client Relationship Managers were promoted this Spring. There are about 100 of us. I work on the West coast and been here for years. Meanwhile, over 10 sales reps, many who barely hit or didn't hit their numbers were promoted. Why ? Because the Ex VPs are all former sales people and they don't truly value service. Until this year, only sales mattered to them. So far this year, only $40M in group business has made it in the door. Abysmal if you ask me.

Last year, many of the Senior CRM titles were taken away from the Director of Compensation who is invisible and doesn't want to admit the mistakes of the new failed job architecture. Then a bunch of people were promoted earlier this year to Directors and Stephen Rich didn't even recognize those people two weeks ago in his memo. On top of that, the company has acknowledged many employees including CRMs were below market comp averages and they don't even have the go-nads to share the compensation studies they are relying on to make comp decisions. Meanwhile, Senior Executives will admit they don't want to give up their pay and share in the sacrifice because they are getting paid market rates. So, they admit paying CRMs under market rates and they themselves admit they are getting paid market rates for their own positions. Now you can see why a lot of CRMs are pi---d and moral is low. We need new Field Leadership. The Ex VPs in their now are old washed up sales people and don't truly value staff providing great service. Thank you.

My source who knows one of the Field Ex Vps says they get paid well north of $300K per year plus they have these generous bonus plans. Most CRM only make about $85-$95K. Plus, they actually solve problems and are productive. Ex Vps do little work, are not productive, add little value, and just parrot what Greed, Mehdi, and Conway way tell them to say. Waste of time and space. If their jobs would be cut, no one would realize except the a positive addition to the MOA balance sheet.

It's clear the Field VPs are biased towards promoting sales people because they all were once sales people and none of them were service people so there is a natural bias. HR should investigate why only 3 client relationship manager names appeared in Mr. Rich's memo. There should have been more promoted. Something is not right.
