Thread regarding Mutual of America Life layoffs

TownHall Meeting This Week

How much were the first quarter losses and is the company going public later this fall ? How about this new 5 year plan. How many layoffs does it include ? The company has to find a way to raise revenue and fast. Can't just keep cutting jobs and benefits. Provide early retirement buyouts to any employee who has worked over 10 years and make a base salary of $150K or higher. Out of the 200 people in this category, I bet you could get 175 out of the 200 to retire and save $25M per year. Stephen Rich has got to start thinking outside of the box.

The new CFO has to put early buyouts on the table. I was canned last year and was shocked that Greed announced they were planned layoffs (yeah right) according to the terms of the strategic plan but the company didn't provide any WARN notice. Early buyouts are the humane and smart way to go and will save $20M per year. Ho Hum !

Not going public.
Let me guess, you've worked at MOA "over 10 years and make a base salary of $150K or higher."
