All of my team have their resumes out and are talking to recruiters. Our Manager is clueless to the fact. I can’t wait to get out of the kindergarten in-office tracker for one., the incompetent senior managers for two and what feels like a prison where you dare not speak out, for three. It’s a race to see who can get out first, because for those left, it will be he-l. Once people see others leaving, they will also race to get out……
….the race is on people…don’t be the last one left

Stop lying and wa----g yourself.
A key milestone in all Banks is to threaten to leave and then resign.I've done it twice and they begged me to come back, at the same time as they were buying my custody collateralized mortgage backed accounting system.
You gotta know your stuff and out negotiate the tools who don’t know how to male it work. Out negotiating the bank’s contract lawyers was child’s play…

Hahahahahaahah…. What does that mean? We are all fecal matter just by BNY association? You should have said ‘Why the discrimination?’
That sounds like a recruiter to be avoided and reported. But still, it’s funny we are damaged goods in certain circles. OMG, so much for Fortune cookie style awards this place bleats about.
So a recruiter I spoke with in NY today for a role here in Boston told me that they weren’t really looking for anymore BNY resumes, which doesn’t make sense to me….
@eh+1jrwvcnnw
Exactly. You want to be pragmatic and coming across as a person who is an answer to problems. This, despite fleeing a problematic, abusive, hideous environment. Also, it is so cringeworthy and dysfunctional here now, I think people you tell the story to just cannot believe it and privately think we are being soap box divas. But We know the truth and have to keep silent when job hunting. This place is like the ‘Saw’ movie franchise.
BNY su-ks and the best part is employees, at all levels, know it.
@b5+1 I definitely didn’t respond with the truth. 1. I think it would sound like I was being dramatic about some of it and 2. We would need way more than a 30 minute phone interview LOL. I just responded they have been relocating a lot of groups/functions and it reshaped possible opportunities in the Pittsburgh office. I want to leverage my education and continue growing my skills and it feels like the right time to move forward at another organization with long term plans in Pittsburgh. The last thing you want to do is go on about upper management and internal issues, even if it’s 100% the truth.
On firm told me that 40% of resumes for open roles (ops, product, sales, client coverage) were from BNY employees.
I had the same experience when I was looking for a job in Pittsburgh. They saw I was coming from BNY and said “yeah we’ve heard.”
This is funny. My entire team as well. I would say about 8 people are actively looking around. What goes around comes around... You treat people like cr-p that's what you get.
So what do you say to recruiters is the reason without blasting the heck out the this place which most companies frown upon?
It makes sense since they are moving ETF’s from NYC to LA. There was a huge flow out in my group when our work moved to Pittsburgh and India. This place is just nonstop nonsense. I really hope it bites them in the butt.
Yep. I had an interview in PIttsburgh as well and the hiring manager who I was expecting to ask why I’m looking to leave and he actually told ME why I am looking to leave…. because he’s been hearing so much about it.
I had a phone interview recently and the recruiter asked me “May I ask out of curiously what is going on at BNY? I’ve been receiving a very large volume of applicants for multiple roles from BNY employees”. This was for a Pittsburgh role.

Thank you so very much for this. You made my day and perhaps saved my sanity for a bit longer. I tried Robert Half which in a full credit to you , was not part of your list. Robert Half is about as terrible and comatose as BNY HR. I have got to get a new place. My despair is turning into hate now which is a better thing I suppose but not in the long term. I am at the point where I resent and despise setting foot in here. I want a Mexican divorce from BNY. I will gladly take less money at this point. My happiness and sense of purpose is worth more than everyone in this ugly place combined.
Google financial services recruiters in the City you are in. There’s a lot in NY that service jobs across the US. Look at the Bacharach Group, Kingsley Gate, Long Ridge Partners, Landing Point, BNG Consulting, Phyton, Charles Sterling, Korn Ferry, Riva-Recruiting. That’s just from a quick google search
@a2+1jrwvcnnw
Can you provide any google list search detail on how to find the ‘recruiter/s’ ? Appreciate any pointers. Any head hunter is fine, if it can fasttrack getting me out of this absolute he-ll hole.
I have a call with a Recruiter here in NY this afternoon…..I spoke with one last Thursday and she said that she had never seen so many resumes come out of one organization…they are flooded with BNY people…..seems like the race to get out before you are exes or left in the sh*t is already on ?
Hmmm….now you have gotten me thinking…… Lake Mary is a sh!tshow….. its the blind leading the blind down here…..
