Thread regarding Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Co. layoffs

HMH is not the place to work

This place is driven by the top management who's only focus is to get their big fat bonus come next spring. So Bloody October is an every year occurrence for this company. Worker be where this place does not care about you.

Indian CTO, has one goal. Fire all the Americans, replace them with Indians in the US and in India. Didn't even try to hide it.

Whomever is still left in the US. He'll get you next October or sooner.

Toxic place to work. Business is in perpetual decline. Cxo's and executives are despicable people that treat people like worthless cattle, and are so accustomed to doing so that they thinks its normal. Those of us who were laid, off got the better part of the deal. Those that remain, you have our sympathy. Best guess, they will be sold off, bought out, or otherwise continue zombie company status, until the next round of layoffs. Doubtful their customers will recover from this year's back to school fiasco.
