How about everyone just shows up to work and do nothing, just sit down and play with our phones and send a message to the big wigs

So just sit? Like you do every other day? Perfect.
@e2 nope.
They don't get to treat us like the problem and we just take what they give us. They'll be making their millions no matter their outcome while the rest of us are a medical bill or riff away from going bankrupt. This situation originates from the top and only we lose... Think Hans or Dan is worried if w land on our feet again or into the ocean?
They only give severance for legal protections... This is what we get for sticking around these last few riffs and didn't volunteer so we could work hard and make this company better then the next day their like we don't need you anymore
@am prove it
Either way every other layout day has been near zero production. I've seen others take off.
@ak prove it.
Plus they're making millions for trashing the company and you're worried about us? They make their money no matter they perform, bankrupt it or get forced out.... But you keep worrying about our pennies
@a4 Listen Dan.... You all are getting paid for sinking the company.... Little baby board members, cry more
@OP Already started quite quitting like 2 weeks ago.
I've gotten so much done in the house... I moved meetings and due dates to Friday Nov 21...
Win, win
If I stay I'll knock them out
If I'm gone they'll be out of compliance
FYI - this board doesn't have to be doom and gloom.
I understand OP thoughts and have heard it from several around me but here is a something that will make you feel better in the end - Go to work and do your absolute best. If/When you get that terrible phone call you can tell yourself that you did your best. You can tell yourself that the company let you down, not the other way around. This will give you forward momentum and positive vibes to go forward at a new place of employment. I like VZ, its not a dream job. Most of us don't like the inconvenience and uncertainty of having to find a new job. Me either (20+ years in and plenty of bills that needs to be paid). It will be okay though.
I have a friend who's 19 year old son has cancer and is on a vent right now. This work stuff doesn't really matter tbh. Try to keep in perspective. This reply is for me as much as anyone else that reads it.
What has Verizon done to treat you well? You think a paycheck means they get to own you? Its a two way street and everyone brainwashed into "just do your job" whike getting abused and treated like sh-t is part of the problem. People matter. Did Verizon ever care about you?
@ct
The Gen Z people on our team are on their phones and texting all day
Horrible plan. You're a grown adult and are paid to do a job. I'm worried too, but I still go in each day and do what I'm supposed to do. It's called integrity. I may not have a job next week, I understand that, but if I am not impacted, then I have even more work to catch up on, if I follow your suggestion. But, hey. You do you.
@ak not paramount to… it is
Next Wednesday and Thursday are about to be the least productive days ever as a company.
If you do this, you will be terminated with cause and not be eligible for a severance package or unemployment. Saw it happen when the centers closed.
Why not just quit if you aren’t going to hold your end of the bargain to receive a paycheck.
Not doing anything is almost paramount to time clock fraud.
How about you grow up and do the job you are being paid to do.
