Is there any different compensation package if you get layoff due to downsizing/redundancy vs performance issues - below expectation?

OK, I’ll bite. What is 5ime?
I’m continually fascinated by the sheer inability of our coworkers to communicate clearly. Here’s a true classic:
“Not true. You cannot be denied unemployment for simply being a poor performer. You have to show some sort of egress behavior occurred( something like theft or harassment).“
The particularly beautiful aspect of this mispost is that the poster means “egregious”, which is horrible behavior, but states “ egress behavior” which can only be interpreted as an attempt at egress, i.e. an attempt to escape the bank.
Teams chats and email are even worse.
@auf+1kMrud3c Not true. You cannot be denied unemployment for simply being a poor performer. You have to show some sort of egress behavior occurred( something like theft or harassment). If they could just claim poor performance then virtually no one would get UE. Every company would make that claim.
I wouldn't count on getting SUB pay if you purposely try to get fired.
If you were on a performance plan, it's a lot easier to get rid of you. That would be a lot cheaper for the company. If your manager follows the rules with performance management, the company doesn't have to pay unemployment.
They are based on 5ime with the firm.
But the payment of bonus, yes they can be impacted.
None whatsoever.
