Look at ASD - all the main product heads are Irish. Operations has(had) its fair share of people either based in Ireland or came from Ireland. I'm not complaining about this, but it's such a crazy coincidence. What made IRELAND of all places the spot to find many of our leaders? I know servicing UCITS is a big product here, but it's not that big in the grand scheme of things.

Every single decision is either based on increasing profit or cutting cost. Don't need to look much further away.
Give Ireland back to the Irish!
Highly educated workforce - at one point in the 1980’s, the Irish government was spending 25% of tax revenues on free public education, all the way up to University level. Now, it’s the only native English-speaking member of the European Union, and has the added benefit of being a low-tax location (except for the locals!) Plus, the people are generally nice, although we still seem to manage to find the @-hoIes wherever we plant the BNYM flag, even in Ireland.
Apparently you don’t know my Senior Leader and his tastes, so let’s just keep it that way.
Irish wh----y is not 'High end' .
the same reason trump opens golf courses there
Because the Irish are smart people, lad.
Low corporate tax rate, well educated population, geographically located to client base, short hop over the pond
Our Senior leader enjoys sampling and purchasing high end whiskeys when he travels there and he certainly has excellent taste.
Lowest corporate tax rate in the world.
