Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Once you leave you'll question why you stayed so long

Leaving BofA brings instant relief. Does anyone miss anything here when they leave? Apart from some good colleagues, I don't think I will ever miss anything from here.

I rarely surf this site anymore but this question hit home. I was laid off a few years ago after nearly 25 years. Most of my tenure at BAC was excellent but the last 3 years I was employed was extremely stressful due to horrendously bad managers. For two years I secretly prayed for a package and finally that joyous day came. The severance was excellent and I accepted a new job after three months of leaving the bank. I actually had three offers on the same day. Do I miss the bank? Absolutely not. Do I miss some of my friends? Absolutely yes. But fortunately for them, most have left for better gigs and we all still keep in touch. I never looked back. Cha Ching!

I only know of one person who retired (his request) last year who seems to really miss his job. He really liked his job and team.

But.... among the hundreds I know who've left over they years (rif'ed or on their own), they all seem much happier!

I can't wait!! (just saving a bit more for retirement and hoping for a package that will never happen)
