At the current scale, one manager can effectively oversee a team of about 50 employees. Additional management layers add unnecessary cost and overhead without delivering meaningful value.

This would be true if we had competent leaders. To get that, we need to pay competent employee incentives/salaries.
@ac we all understand what management doesn't do plus we understand the job which most most don't. The easiest job in the company is asc. Director and Director.
This shows a lack of understanding of what a supervisor/manager has to do. 50 is way too many.Even like 25 is A LOT. The part the direct report sees is like 10% of the job usually. People don't know what they don't know
