To know you‘re close to the end is a kind of freedom

It is difficult to get people to demand change when their salary depends on them not understanding it
We are replaceable, but our unique value can make us irreplaceable if we fight together

@cp This. Every job I've ever had in this industry has been on the ropes (admin, PSE, SE). I've never felt safe, who has? This. Is. America. It is inherently anti-worker. The best you can try to do is amass wealth by living under you're means, hedging your bets. Have FU money.
So not you then. These posts are so cringe. Guys this is corporate America, it is a numbers game. I know the ELT su-ks, and i do think part of them hates doing this but again, numbers game.
If you work in corporate America (even outside of baud). You should have been maxing 401K, get the matching, save your money and continuously work on your skills in whatever your role is.
I get it su-ks we have this 2 year black cloud over us but if we are being honest even if they hadn't told us.....every single day you can walk in and be laid off in corporate America. Every single day from the day you start to the day you retire, quit or whatever. You die tomorrow your job is posted in 2 weeks....used to be in the US and now just posted in India instead.
