Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Man, I Love Fridays (M!LF)

Friday tomorrow. You know what that means. I’ll be in the office at 5AM sharp to drop off my laptop. I’ll connect to the LAN and clear my inbox, then head home around 7 to eat breakfast abs watch the masters. I’ll sit on the couch all day and drink beer as I watch every angle of every shot. Around 1 when I’m on the way out to the bar with the fellas, I’ll stop by the office to pick up my laptop after a solid 8 hours are logged. Nobody I work with is in the same office as me anyway so nobody can even question it. As long as your report shows 8 hours, nothing else matters anymore. I’ll check in again Monday morning. RTO has changed my life and now life is good. All you gotta do is “show up”.

@eh "Made up stories"

LOL -- I was home by 2:30 today. Logged on at 7am, banked an hour because I had ht 33 hours for the week on Thursday. Worked 7 hours on Friday to get me to 40. Springbreak traffic in ATL was light so I was able to get home in about 20 minutes. It su-ks to be you, sycophant!

We need a Pareto Principle approach. The 20% who do 80% of the work all get to be permanent remote. The other 80% have to go sit in the call center footprint purgatories and account for the other 20% of the work. It will not even require that much adjustment from the current climate. We are at 1% virtual today, just send home the rest of the high output people and let the adult day care centers in Atlanta and Dallas keep babysitting the rest.

@ay "Core hours are defined as 8AM - 5PM with a 1 Hour unpaid lunch."

Would provide a link to the document that shows the core hours for all AT&T management employees? I don't think you can.

Tough night last night. I’mma go take a nap in my car right now. I have a blanket and a pillow. Set the alarm clock for two hours. I’ll be back just in time for lunch.

"Management needs to work CORE working hours in your respective time zone so we can collaborate effectively."

WTF are you talking about. 40% of my team is in Bratislava, and our tech people are in India. There is no collaboration going on in the office. It is being done on TEAMs. You must be one of Stankey's merry band of sychophants that actually believed him when he said that RTO was for collaboration.

@OP Same here lol. Badge in, drop the laptop, walk out. That's the whole routine now. I'll grab groceries, fire up the Xbox, maybe take a long lunch at the bar down the street. Swing back by the office sometime in the afternoon to pick up my laptop and badge out. Eight hours logged. Zero work done hahaha.

And here's the best part. I haven't done a single useful thing in six weeks. Nobody on my team is in this building. My boss is in Georgia. Her boss is in a different state. They have no idea where I am or what I'm doing. The badge report says I'm there. That's all they check.

I'm smirking right now just imagining those addlepated simpletons in upper management looking at their spreadsheets thinking "ah yes, he's collaborating, he's engaged, he's earning his keep." What fools. I'm stealing a paycheck so cleanly it should be a crime. I've done more laundry than work this month. I've reorganized my garage twice. I've watched an entire season of terrible reality TV and I'm not even embarrassed.

RTO was supposed to break me. Instead it gave me a free pass to do absolutely nothing and get paid for it. They wanted butts in seats. They didn't say anything about brains. Thank you for the five-day mandate. This is the easiest paycheck I've ever had. 😂

Management needs to work CORE working hours in your respective time zone so we can collaborate effectively. Core hours are defined as 8AM - 5PM with a 1 Hour unpaid lunch. This is what needs to be reflected on the presence report.

@ae

It’s not how busy you are. It’s how busy your boss thinks you are. Gotta play the game better.

I really don’t understand how there are (apparently) still people here that literally have no work to do.,?

Seriously, I don’t get it.
