PSS only interested in asking how deals going and what numbers to attach on SFDC. Fu--ing useless, get rid of the lot of them. No need for PSS the AM should do that role.

lol this is funny, as a generalist SE, my entire focus is not getting specialists involved because they are a waste of time and slow you down. Also, if they specialist were good, then how come they are the ones getting absorbed and not the other way around. And dont get me started with the PSSes. Complete waste of resources, and if you think a PSS makes a good AE, well you are in for a surprise.

@gk Agreed. There are a bunch of portfolio SE's who don't even know what a VLAN or a trunk is.

Portfolio SLT finally realized their AEs and SEs are not truly the glorified technical specialists they claim they are. The merging of EN, DCN, Security specialists into portfolio is going to eventually lead to more layoffs because now the portfolio teams are bloated, but guess who would survive? The most technical ones. Everyone now has to up their game to keep the role. No more passing the ball to your specialists who do all the work while you go to Chairman’s club!

This is fu--ing crazy. You use a “tool” when you need to do so. Why do you “need” to use AI if you can achieve the required outcome via other means? AI is never meant to be a destination in and of itself. Shows what fu-ktards the ELT are.

Those of us who attended Leader's checkin, we can tell another LR is coming this August. I would advise everyone to consume all internal AI tools, this will be a top top consideration.

I fortunately wasn't impacted by the layoffs but one of my friends got let go and my current step / previous manager was also laid off. Legitimate people who were passionate about driving the product get cut. So many restructuring changes in the org going on. Very difficult to want to do work with all this going on.

How is the ELT okay with this? For earnings call, they were all laughs and smiles sipping their wine in NYC office right after announcing cuts.

After the Vegas event apparently. There is a total of 14K sales reps and a large fraction will be cut, including folks from various orgs not using AI that will be stack ranked for August cuts! Dashboards have been created for FLM’s and Directors to see usage of their team members utilization of AI. 🤖
