Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Is 55yrs old a must for VRP ?

I am 52 and want to take VRP but not eligible for it. Anyone knows if HR would bridge 3 years and give me the package? It would be hard to stay 3 more years. I will lose more than 50% of my pension if I leave before 55.

@147 What would the difference be between the VRP & involuntary layoff, still two weeks per year and benefits?

Wait, going back to the original post.

You’ll lose half of your pension if you leave at 52?

Do you mean vested 401k?

Or did you start at age 18?

@wp severance is 52 weeks max. You are paid your full salary and benefits during your severance period.

@w2

   “ I know a 54 year old who was offered VRP, so its a flexible rule!”

Dude, there is a formula baked-in whereby eligible candidates are either 55+, or turning 55 by such-and-such a date (usually corresponding to the effective date of the first retirement window )….

There exists no exceptions beyond that

What does VRP offer? I thought PepsiCo discontinued the retirement plan.

Is VRP just severance of 2 weeks for every one year in the company?

@e3 select functions and groups. They have exclusions every time.

Are the buy outs company wide or are they selected positions ?

Someone told me before that HR may bridge up to a year. But it seems to be a hard policy now.

@a7 Yes, math is the math and you have to meet that criteria. Was S&T salaried included this time?

Sorry, the math is the math. Must be 55 on/before 08/22/26 and have at least 10 years of service.
