Anyone remember how beneficial BCG' analysis was to Ford' meteoric rise to profitability in the past?
Not!
I just want to hear stories from the older crew.
On another note, does anyone remember their attempt at implementing a Matrix Management model?
Maybe if they understood the difference between producing a quality product and the stylish management trends of the month, Ford would be a great car company.

Browsing through information granted to you as part of your job duties and requirements, and sending hired detectives to tail your workers, are two very different things. It’s called choice, and it actually matters.
Next thing you know, you’ve got a team of detectives digging into your s-x life from when you were a minor, trying to figure out how many bodies you’ve caught. Very weird company. Is that normal?
@f1 No different to companies today going through their employees social media accounts.
@34v Sometimes I get the impression some people on here are only to further harassment unless they get what they want, the person I'm replying to below with the original "squandered resources" post is probably one of those people.... No good PR for the company comes from me, that much I can say for a fact.
@27h Says the anonymous commenter doing PR work here. LMAO.
@pv You are probably a person that squanders those limited resources just to fu-k with people.
I think BCG could help with spearheading reconstructing all the floors in the WHQ to be more efficient for simply getting from point A to point B and also collaboration. We could propose to WFH for a couple years while the remodeling takes place. If my calculations are correct, the overall efficiency would improve by ~26-30%
@a8 BEV mobility future, ha. when am i gonna be able to take a cheap self driving cab downtown for a tiger game so i don't have to deal with expensive parking or expensive Uber cabs? not soon, that's for sure. ford BEVs and mobility aren't doing so well. i think they wrote off more on BEVs than on mobility (self driving etc), tho mobility did cost a pretty penny also.
@gq and they are all very very weak
@gq Full of something else too!
This is spoken like someone who thinks there are unlimited resources available for an unspecified amount of time. Part and parcel to someone who has no skin in the game and isn't involved/has no real investment in the company's future. Just sees it as a resource to continually drain until there's nothing left. Do you even work at Ford?
"Legacy resources"
Listen to yourself. Look at what's transpired. Years of losses, 19.5 billion write down last year and more to come this year. Architecture cancellation. What about those resources? Life blood of the company right there.
A good chunk of them have been hired direct into LL3+ roles. Look at MG- he keeps stocking corporate strategy with his boys club. BCG is full of theories they can't operationalize.
The same clowns who developed the algorithm to fire people since SRD? Farley loves this company.
@a8 The current Veeps' and Directors' back DOOR?That's just biz as usual!
BCG did assist the company with clearing out much of the legacy resources that would not be needed when the company pivoted to a BEV mobility future. As the pillar of the Ford company transformation, Model e and Ford Pro were the successful outcomes that resulted.
I do not view BCG as a detriment to the company but more as opening the door to the company's new direction.
