Has anyone heard of any future layoffs for Benefit Verification or Prior Auth reps?
It seems like Health100 is being made to take over the majority of our work.

Well out of the gate consider this… the profit of the insurance business is heavily regulated. They must spend x% of premiums collected… call it 85%. So their ceiling is 15% of premiums. If they actually start radically cutting out cost their profit dollars go down not up. Not what shareholders want.
More importantly don’t underestimate the self-preservation abilities that exist in a heavily heavily regulated industry. If anything as claude code keeps getting better, could probably start cutting back on ddat… business prompts what they want, uat the output, provides feedback gets 0 pushback on “we can’t do that” or “that’s out of scope”, claude just happily incorporates and business decides when they want to ship
I would just imagine that if the point of H100 is to be a complete 1 stop AI shop for the patient- for benefits, auth, customer service- that eventually less humans will be needed.
If AI Health 100 will be able to provide benefit quote and obtain auth, and answer questions, doesn’t it seem like eventually less actual humans will be needed?
There will be less work for people to do.
Sure, some people will still be needed- but not as many.
Also, CVS seems to care for its shareholders as much as, if not more than, its patients. So turning a profit is very important.

Why does it matter if you can or can’t understand how H100 replaces someone else’s work? He-l maybe it actually doesn’t? Maybe there’s a different reality that the company needs to figure out how to fund a bunch of H100 roles while H100 still isn’t making the money it needs to pay for their own roles?
H100 isn’t without costs… opex and capex… needs to come from somewhere and CVSH doesn’t want to slide backwards…
