Thread regarding Cengage layoffs

Staffing agencies

I've been considering using a staffing agency to help with my job search, but I don't know much about them in general. Has anyone here used them before? Were they helpful? And if not, what other options would you recommend instead?

Use all resources when looking for employment. Use friends, family and even your common sense. Ask ChatGpt.

Did any of your friends resign recently? Who? When ?

I left Cengage and now work in staffing and recruiting.
I think it depends on what your job is. If it is accounting, finance, hr - I think it could be super helpful.
Staffing/Recruiting agencies get job orders and then fill them, so it's not guaranteed that you will get a job. If your background fits the bill of what an organization is looking for, they will submit you.
Now could also be a time to look into transitioning into a new career (depending on what you are currently doing)
