Apparently we now have to supply our own office supplies? Can’t find pencils. Tablets, sticky notes, etc.

False, that is True.
No doubt the bank is embarrassingly cheap, but I must admit to chuckling at some of this. I might actually know the calendar poster - if not, it's the same type of person who complained about no longer having free standing calculators... Think about that...
I 'reimburse' myself for providing my own office supplies by taking toilet paper rolls from the restrooms, and taking stacks of copy paper home to use in my printers at home.
What are you in the stone age? Who on god's earth still uses a pencil? Even if you do....supplies are in abundance EVERYWHERE at 500 Ross....
There are never office supplies. I buy and bring in my own and try to tuck my items into my bag before leaving. If I leave so much as a tablet, a decent pen or some Staples yellow sticky notes on my desk they’re gone quickly.
The Staples yellow stickies are by far the most coveted. They don’t even make it through a lunch break on the rare days that I take one.
Nothing has changed I guess. I was let go 3 years ago. I couldn’t even order special calendars we used that was like 10 each for a group of 8. If you got a hold of an extra stapler you had to hoard it and hide it cause no way you getting another one. Lol.
We also have to do our own CLEANING! These worthless cleaners leave the restrooms stinky, no to, no towels, etc !!!
Take the subway and avoid the stores. Unless of course you plan on augmenting your dwindling pay by window shopping with bricks. In that case shop early and shop often.
Been doing that since the Frank Cahouet (whom I greatly admire) era. I’ve never had anyone here give me so much as a lead pencil, let alone a pen or a tablet. I’ve paid for coffee every day, and paid for polar water to make the coffee because the Mellon 3 water is undrinkable due to lead pipes and paid for all of my office supplies.
I would never do that again after reading the petty complaints here.
Not true. Ask around for where there are supplies and see if you can find what you need. Your manager can order things that cannot be found elsewhere. Many groups used to stockpile supplies and we have been advised to raid every closet before we order more stuff.
Been doing that for at least 6 or 7 years.
If you're in NYC, you can steal from a store and they won't prosecute you.
