Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

Normalized nepotism at FLKS!

Do the higher-ups at BD seriously feel no shame handing jobs to their kids? What’s the point of sending them to good school district and giving them every advantage under the sun if they still need na--d nepotism just to get their foot in the door?

What kind of work ethic will these kids grow up with? How can they even flex about a job that was handed to them on a silver platter? They just destined to follow their incompetent parents' corrupt footsteps? We’ve gone way too far in making nepotism the new normal.

@OP someone told me that is how Indians operate almost always. Is it an indian thing or do you see this practice among other ethnicities?

ps: I am not a racist, just interested in academic discussion.

@af while that is the unfortunate reality but people with self respect don’t follow that path. OP probably tried to make that point and I fully agree with that. These kids are both shameless and skill less, that is why they have no other way to get a job. And because of this malpractice in all hiring and promotion process, BD has one of the weakest technical team.

In today's world solid connections get you ahead in life. All those C-Suite executives don't get rich being empathetic. They get rich by getting insider trading information from their executive buddies at the country club.
