I asked my director about project priorities and he said he'd check with his boss. Three days later, still no answer. It's managers all the way down, and nobody at the top knows anything either.

my "leader" always took offense when I inquired about implementing new work flows and adjusting priorities to align with what senior leadership and EVP communicated over several quarters.
@aw don’t forget poor decision-making too. In many cases, it’s simply because people lack the necessary cognitive ability, the relevant skills, or, more often than not, both !
Becasue many layers of clueless people hirinng clueless people... all the way to the top!
My experience - inability to set priorities. Or to stick to them. More like a waitress that runs from table to table based on how loud the customers are. If leadership can’t commit why should the rank and file?
