Which would you have picked if you had the option? Charlotte would make sense only for commute to work and cost of living. Dallas on the other hand has lots of companies if T lays you off a year later. Both cities are new to family and kids are still in schools.

Don’t move for $, move for all the great career opportunities at headquarters. Plano will be the new place on the block, so less commute…. Yea
Consider Charlotte has state income tax of 3.99% while Dallas does not. They both have 8.25% sales tax. Charlotte has lower property tax @ 0.4924/100 vs Dallas @ 0.6988/100. If your goal is still stay with T as long as possible Dallas will have more opportunity, but you should REALLY be questioning your goals at that point.
“If T lays you off”…. That’s funny… You mean, “When T lays you off…”
I would NEVER go to Dallas or anywhere in Texas. It’s a total sh!thole. The day they ask that is the day I get paid to leave. Thanks 4 tha cheese.
