Being in Tech, I completely agree most of the time is wasted in doing totally unnecessary activities like meetings (not required) and created work. But management is still willing to keep my job for doing so little with high pay and so who am I to complain.

I find those agile meetings extremely useful.
I get to catchup on financial news, search for new jobs, text my family members and friends and much more.

Get rid of the many overpaid useless ‘Agile Coaches’ that they hired, stop using Agile and hire more onshore Dev. No one will admit the ‘old way’ works better.

I think agile is good, whatever we're using though is awful. No time to plan, just status calls about status calls.

I'm with Technology. Blame mgmt for forcing Tech to adopt this over-hyped, useless Agile program. Status meeting every day with big white boards and big screen TV (that were just collecting dust...never saw them turn on). Agile forces team members to be co-located for collaboration so that teams will be effective. Overkill ! Then COVID proved this concept wrong. But mgmt could not back out because they don't want to be humiliated.

If a layoff occurs it should be the tech area. It’s not busy and lots of wasted time. They have over hired on the agile teams

This is pretty funny considering Agile assumes you’re meeting at least 2 hours a day. Don’t blame your employees for following the cr---y processes implemented
