In the beginning I thought that a lot of people would prefer to leave because of the convenience of working from home and not wanting to return to office, but it seems that there aren't that many of them afterall?

Lots of people have, and you're going to see more now that they've decided it's the time to enforce it.
The mass exodus due to RTO hasn't occurred since they really haven't enforced RTO. We have many that have been granted "accommodations." These same associates can't come in to work yet they can travel to other countries or attend events like concerts and football games. Go figure.
I know countless people that have left over RTO. We must work in different areas.
Everyone I know who left, left for better pay
@2tdz+1lNCaDLg Where? Let me guess.. one of those stupid flex space sites? I’ll be in even less when I don’t have an assigned seat. Nothing says “this is pointless” and “I don’t feel welcome” more than taking away our individual space. Eff that. Literally so many articles proving that that open seating floor plan. It’s not great for so many reasons. These people are simply delusional.
Lol 2x the bodies than seats what a joke. How do they plan to fix this? No matter how they juggle half their workers can not fit
I left only due to RTO....now the company I'm at is moving in the same direction lmao
Not for RTO on its own - just the straw that broke the camel's back on the long list of many reasons piling up over recent years to leave.
For my colleagues who have left, they were planning to leave/retire anyway and this just accelerated their decision.
I do know of 2 people who moved far away during covid (like 2+ hrs) and are now looking for new jobs. Bur agree - few, if any, leave for RTO alone.
Most left before the bank finally made their decision (because they dragged their feet on it). MANY left on our team and went to a fully remote position.
So many people have left. It’s insane. And the ones left don’t go into the Office
Offices are still pretty empty so perhaps we see more leave if/when the policy begins to be enforced.
You’re right, I haven’t left, I just don’t come in and no one has called me on it.
Most of the best talent had already left. Also two remote days a week is a better option than full five days in office.
