Someone just told me HR is reaching out to people regarding their lack of badge swipes and failure to return to office. Apparently some people have been fired over failure to return.. Is this true?

I swipe once a quarter. No calls.
This is 100% true. I'm a Manger and was contacted about one of my associates. They had 2 weeks to get into the office or they were moving forward with disciplinary action
This is true of you have not swiped your card at all
Just confirmed this is true
100% true. I would have been fired except I identify as a le----n orange giraffe, so I just got a written warning. But I am triggered because a tree was harmed in making the paper it was written on. I am now on disability leave until we go 20 years without a republican president.
True story. Time to get back or ruin the 3/2 for everyone
Tell HR there is no desk space in the office, get rid of the shared space concept then we can talk. Otherwise wth is a better option so we don't have to fight over space or sitting next to someone that coughs all day without covering up!
If all they care about is a badge swipe, it's not that hard. Go in once a month and swipe your badge. Do it after hours so you can avoid seeing anyone.
100% true. I received a call from HR asking why I haven't swiped my badge in awhile. It wasn't a threatening phone call but they just wanted to gather information and told me they will get back to me. Two days later I get a call from my manager saying they heard back from HR and I have two weeks to get back to the office. I went in yesterday.
Finally! Someone that gets it. Just traverse to Active Directory; Search yourself and bo-m there it is. Your sign in location(s), devices registered and used by individuals.
But why ki-l the fun when it is so entertaining listening to all the wild theories.
Nope. False. Rumor.
Managers are managing this and reaching out to HR if they have concerns.
They’re just trying to blame HR but it’s your boss calling and crying about it (meanwhile, they leave the office at noon and WFH the rest of the day).
PLUS, they don’t need bad swipes when they can see where your laptop is Logging in from much easier.
Yup. I can confirm someone on my team was contacted by their manager and HR due to zero badge swipes. Guurrrllll!!!!
Yes, they are calling managers and the managers are calling their direct reports.
@fzb+1lSTJLbv - If I were your most trusted friend, I hope you don't come to me because I could get fired for violating company policy for using someone's else badge.
Well unfortunately they did this before in the past so nothing new
Take it easy. Just give your badge to your trusted friend.
