Instead of worrying in advance or trying to rationalize and convince yourself that you are safer than others, rather look for what is offered on the job market. The best antidote to feeling anxiety is taking action and sending resumes. But on the other hand, what gives people the reason to think that they are any safer than others? Layoffs are always a mess without much logic.
