Did IBM give any raises for inflation cost of living? its like 15% last 2 years. Everyone should get at least 15% raise.

"Managers don't like complainers. "
Then these managers are just id--ts... I complain all the time, that's the only way to getting anything in this d-mb company. A manager that does not like its reports to complain is just a lazy manager who doesn't get it and should not be working anywhere, especially not at IBM. F--- these managers!
Last year the avg in my team was about 5% but this was after almost 2 years of no regular salary increases (in that time, there were 2 or 3 that got something but only ‘coz they threatened to quit at the right moment). Of course, Inflation very quickly erased the increase.
Always say yes...def another HR troll Go fire someone or do something for once
IBM did. Based on opportunity and preparedness. Also depends on manager and team. I know of a member who got 8% last year, then 20%. One raise, per year, for last 4 years. She is a 'yes' person, always volunteers, helps others. Many don't think raises happen. I can confirm they do. Always say 'yes', volunteer for any/all projects. Most important, don't complain. Managers don't like complainers. YMMV.
@2zyr what does your group do and roughly where are you located (e.g. city)? 5% cost of living increase is pretty good! To my knowledge my team here in Canada got nothing.
- 5% was our group's average. But that's OK as by April 1 I'll have 5.5 months "re-deployed" job hunting with little overt responsibility. With a month's frosting on top of that.
- 5% was received.
People come to IBM when as the last option. they leave as soon as they can. IBM is well aware so focus on hooking them (slightly higher base with no actual bonus payout = illusion of higher total comp) and milking them while they pass through (unreasonable targets). Ibm is a dying company. Goals has been to extract cash before it dies.
hahaha u aint getting nothing but crumbs at ibm. i would leave them asap
IBM will give a raise when AK turns blue in the face
IBM HR say that IBM pays according to their market surveys and so not inflation rises are given. That said, if inflation affects the market salaries then it will feed into the pay ranges. Probably advantages for new hires as they can negotiate salary within that range. Harder for existing employees if they need to catch up as the budgets aren’t big enough to handle everyone.
That said, if everyone got inflation pay rises everywhere then inflation would rise and there’d be risk of a vicious circle. But yeah, inflation hurts.
- 5% so 1/10th
