Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but the manager's behavior has been very strange lately. Just one of many examples - he started rushing me to do something with an unrealistic deadline, and when I did manage to do it, it turned out that it was not urgent at all. He didn't do things like that before.
Either I'm too anxious or this is a sign that he's putting pressure on me to leave on my own. Anyone with similar experience?

You are being paranoid. This happens all the time, and your poor manager is not driving it.
They are at the beck and call of their manager, and so on... up the chain to the pathetic "leaders" that our CEO chooses to surround himself with.
They are f-ing clueless. The ridiculous and pointless firedrills show them to be the id--t losers they really are.
They only succeed because they have talented people like you carrying their azzes every day.
Oh this has been a known issue with the bank for years. Probably driven by a team that dished out a stupid deadline (like a month early).. and then an executive pushed back (as they should), so the timeline got extended to reasonable date.
