Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

This is a strange place to work and worry about layoffs

Have yet to see any layoffs but people are quitting left and right. The issue, is that many of these are the performers who have left. The socialites of the office think that by coercing out top performers or making them look bad will pay off somehow. Truth is, the signs of a dying company are all around us. We've still got people with years in who refer back to prior experience when questioned about "why". If you've been here for years and speaking of where you came from... that's a problem. No one should care about anything except for the performance of TODAY which is freaking terrible across the board as of late

I feel like an outsider. The workplace landscape I used to know is drastically changed. I don't recognize our workplace and teammates anymore. Daily meetings becomes unbearable. Overlapping chatters which reminds me of being in a market place. Neverending and pointless emails that are just irritating and annoying. Major releases causing more production issues and headaches that you just want to back it out and burn it to the ground. Mandatory non-targeted training are largely ineffective and ridiculous. That boot camp podcast was icing on the cake.

The company is not measuring how the rank and file actually care about the company itself. RSUs and all-hands calls aren't going to matter as much as how it is treating employees through actions. Forcing people to do things that are against their core needs is borderline unethical and it is showing by having seen our best talent leave over the past few years. This is leading to things not getting done including turn strategy into reality. Easy to move turtle speed and not innovate with current talent, but to remain competitive, we will need to do better.

This place stinks.. its all about cut expenses, cut expenses. They don't even provide proper equipment to workers in office. Still using old machines and monitors. If you want people back in ofc make sure there is space. Random people from other teams are using desk and taking hdmi cables, camera and docking station. This shouldn't be happening!!!
