BBH has a more white-glove service model compared to competitors in the industry. But they also put themselves in a position to almost be bought by State Street. While that was happening, many of BBH's finest came here. Many of these people are so out of touch and they're bringing their bad ideas here. Not all of them are bad, but be on your guard.

I was terminated from BBH and escorted out of the building. I walked down the street to BNY, spoke to a guy in the lobby and was offered a place to store my personal items while I waited for my new desk the same day. The only catch is I have to manage an entire team in India now.
We can't win any new business because our prices are too high all for the sake of increasing our margins. BNYM is in a unique position for being the largest custodian, but there's still a lot more room to grow and they have the scale that other competitors can't match. It's too bad our management is so poor that they can't understand that. Adding chuds from BBH is the icing on the cake.
Yeah, there’s a huge disconnect there. It’s like Emirates bought Spirit and tried to provide the Emirates level of service to customers paying Spirit prices. It’ll all end in tears.
But, hey, if it nudges Roman/Gru closer to the exit, I’m all for it.

I up voted this post because all the decision making leaders who come from other companies don't share their best practices. They will copy the worst practices they followed in the past and try to experiment it here, the worst part is it gets approved by the knuckleheads at top.
