I heard that there were layoffs this past Friday. And also they bought a dealership...If they bought a dealership, then why is the management saying to the people it had laid off that it's due to the company's financial constraints?

We heard from current employees that CarMart has not paid them their paychecks.
Does anyone know whether CarMart is planning to close stores and lay off people? Something doesn't add up.
I was one of the layoffs
I was a 35 year associate.
My title was Small Claims Manager for America's Car-Mart corporate office.
Laid off 3 weeks before Christmas. They gave me a severance package of 4 weeks paid and they cancelled my insurance the day they laid me off.
3 days later my wife of a heart attack.
That su-ks. Did they layoff anyone in the management? I did not read it in the news. My friend who got laid off from CarMart told me. CarMart bought another dealership too. Looks scammy.
