We still have a handful of people in our area that badge and leave or leave at 9am- 10am. I thought they were tracking IP’s or is it just to target individuals? Our manager hasn’t said a word so was just curious if it’s even happening.

They literally told us in email that they are tracking when we are connected in the office. They said badge scans were unreliable if the scanners weren't working or you forgot your badge. Idk why everyone is guessing
@ xpw good for her if she’s getting her job done and is avail when people need to meet with her. So long as her work is getting done it shouldn’t matter. That’s the problem with the big brother approach it’s not flexible and doesn’t account for output. She probably works weekends too.
They say’ they’re not tracking how long you’re IP’ing in office but that you’re in office at all. That will change. It will be punching a clock like at McDonalds soon and treating us like children.
If wasn’t IPs but your badge swipes. Only problem is some of the problems make you swipe in and out, others like PA do not. Makes zero sense but how would they track those folks accurately. But hey you got the 1000 the going in right cause thanks to my job grade I didn’t and was in more than the ones who did get it . It’s all bs
Tech people are liars in general when speaking.
My manager leaves by 12 when she is in office and says Ill be back home online by 2.
She likes to work flex hours and often online in the evenings.
Talking with people in tech they are most certainly tracking IP address. It was a huge project they were working on. Results may not be in a dashboard yet, but they will be soon.
I got axed they are def tracking ip addresses just takes them a while to build a case up but when the time comes you’ll know. They made improvements to the tracking tool and implemented them to start the year. The two week recharge period wasn’t a gift they had to upgrade the system. Expect additional details with the first report I believe it comes out every four weeks.
They are only tracking badge swipes, not in office IP address.
I’ve heard the bank is tracking in office by IP, not badge swipes. No idea which is true.
