Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Are 401k contributions being matched?

Are we receiving the match end of January?

If you were there through year end, but resign, or are displaced before March, do you still get the match?

R.I.P. 401K…. The death of a thousand cuts.

As bad as the 2000 to 2008 10% layoff per year, every year, no exception, were… in some cases this war on all benefits is worse. Yes, the boomers went through insanely large displacements, but the constant as--ult on any and all benefits is a new low.

It’s one thing to be displaced. Quite another thing to have Senior Leadership stealing from us. I guess after the death of a thousand cuts to our pensions they needed new buckets from which to steal.

I don’t even recognize this place anymore.

For the RIF impacted in this round, if you did not have 3 years of service or more as of December 31, 2023 there will be no match of your 401k contributions on March 31, 2023.
