Plenty of big banks laying folks off. Think BNY does it quarterly so they can stay out of the news like the others don’t?

Other than the IT people who worked for Suresh's company a decade ago.
@2vev, I think I only worked with 2 contractors the whole 15 years I've been at the bank.
But isn’t that a good thing that they “ They also hide layoffs by having TONS of contractors. They don’t have to account for them in layoffs or payouts. Just gone”.
I think so…
They also hide layoffs by having TONS of contractors. They don’t have to account for them in layoffs or payouts. Just gone. Between the lawyers and HR they have thought of all of this and Robin had tons of experience at his former employer of learning how to be evil and not giving a sh-t about us peons. How does he (and the entire EC) sleep at night? Do their spouses realize what evil people they are and just don’t care because they bring in the bucks? The 1% sure are a different breed. Sold their souls.
Northern Trust, State Street, BNYM. All under the radar. Nobody knows about custody banks.
Because BNYM has no retail presence, nobody outside the industry really knows much about them. Plus BNYM isn’t that big compared to the other banks. Same with State Street.
