Beginning March 15, all associates will be expected to work in the office full time, 5 days per week. For client facing and sales roles (I.e. BB, GCB, GCBK, GCM, Private Bank) expectation is that associates work from the office unless they have a client meeting at a distance rendering office attendance unreasonable. Managers will have direct visibility over office attendance and will be evaluated and responsible for enforcement. Manager training sessions begin the week of February 19 with formal communications to follow at month end.

They can track our exit. Our badges have RFID antennae that are scanned upon exit. They only have to be near the turnstile to be scanned. Keyloggers are already on our laptops. Not new tech. Only supposed to be used if under investigation but cmon…Trellix and Crowdstrike among others. Those are tools making our devices so slow.
I go in at 8 and take my “lunch” at the 11, when I commute home….3 days a week.
Hearing a lot of turnstile alarms going off at OBP the last couple of days. I assume they are testing the jump the turnstile infractions. It's ok though, they are hiring a bunch of ex-NYPD as VP's here who are just going to do nothing anyway.
There’s literally not even enough desks with the stupid open seating remodels! The groups with approval to hire can’t even hire at certain locations due to the seating constraints. This is laughable- between the open seating concept and strong-arming everyone back to the office when they’re quite productive working from home, someone is making some very ignorant decisions that contradict the next.
And now managers are going to be the ones to receive the reporting for in-office vs WFH counts.. that should be great for managers who stink at conflict management (especially when their team produces and is efficiently managing absurd workloads).
"How will the 6 hours be monitored? No swiping when you leave."
Rumor is they will look at IP activity. Logged in to the bank network. Guessing they can tell when you're logged in at office vs elsewhere
OP certainly seems like a troll...or just meant to be a joke. However, there's no doubt a RTO full-time, 5 days a week is what the powers that be want. It's what they always wanted. They begrudgingly relented to the 3/2 hybrid model only after procrastinating for many months on their official announcement. They were stalling in hopes that the "global" or "macro" environment overall had changed to where most other firms were forcing employees back to the office full time. Only after they couldn't stall any longer did they surrender to the hybrid model. But make no mistake...they are trying to find ways to get employees back to the office even more. It will probably be an incremental move to 4 days with the goal of 5 not long after.
This was brought up in a meeting. Was told that management of Workplace Excellence is being moved from HR to LOB. No mention of RTO 5 days/week or minimum 6 hours.
My guess is ankle braclets.
@1eym+1r3tqri5. How will the 6 hours be monitored? No swiping when you leave.
Apparently, there is a change to Workplace Excellence. Starting March 15 they will monitory time in office to ensure folks are there at least 6 hours. So make sure to be there for at least 6 hours. Waiting for keylogging next.
Guys, you’re not seeing the picture clearly. This is Workplace Excellence. That makes this another excellent policy. What part of “excellence” do folks not understand?
Love live Brian, the most excellent!
They don't have enough seating in many locations to support everyone in the office 5 days per week. The current shared workspace model is assigning more people than desks on a floor. The model works because everyone is not in the office every day.
I also heard they will be placing chains at our desks to ensure we are there for the entire 8 hours. Food and toilets will be brought to your cube/ desk.
Good luck with recruiting…
Good luck with retention…
Good luck with quality of work product…
Good luck with anyone who gives a cr-p if this bank is successful. You already took the winds out of those sails of the vast majority with the pathetic bonuses over the last several years.
HR and C Suite, you want to alienate the masses that are pulling these carts for you, as you feed them scraps - then this is the exact way to do just that.
Anyone 60+ is just counting days and biting tongues.
Anyone 30-59 is just waiting for the interest rates to drop and the financial markets to start churning again for a new job across the street.
Anyone 25-30 is likely already out the door.
Anyone 20-25 is going to scratch Bank of America from their list. In fact, anyone in general in banking is going to put BoA at the bottom of their list, and with good reason if this cr-p goes through.
The regionals who are more employee friendly will be coming back soon, and there will be a massive demand for talent because of it. BoA will not be part of that success.
The reputation, perception, and image of being a sweatshop that will grind you into an early grave, that haunted BoA for decades and scared off a LOT of wonderful people from ever considering it….is back.
Trolling
I have breakfast with my children, tyvm. (not with a company who treasts us like children)
I will circumvent the "restricted egress", by pulling the Fire Alarm on differnt flloors. Every. single. day.
No way they will splurge on real food - Expense Controls only allow for the most unhealthy garbage tasting food (more cold pizza, stale cupcakes? anyone,...?) Gotta save coin to pay the fuel for the Corporate Jet, dontcha know, b/c they never mastered WebEx or Zoom. Or even the phone, for that matter)
Is it April 1 already?? Ok, this is b.s. They cannot even enforce this for one week.
BS
To incentivize employees to fulfill their return-to-office obligations, the company is thrilled to introduce a complimentary breakfast program. This program aims to provide all employees a nutritious and delicious start to their workday, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Under this program, each employee is allowed to consume a serving of two ounces of their favorite fruit, ensuring a delightful and vibrant start to their day. Additionally, they will be provided with a non-flavored oatmeal packet, allowing them to customize their breakfast by adding their self-provided preferred toppings or mix-ins. To complete this wholesome breakfast experience, employees can enjoy four ounces of refreshing and antioxidant-rich cherry juice.
The company aims to foster a sense of community and camaraderie among employees by offering this complimentary breakfast program. Gathering together in the mornings to enjoy a shared meal provides an opportunity for informal interactions and team building, enhancing overall job satisfaction and employee morale.
Also, a one-way badge swipe policy will be incorporated into the workplace. Under this policy, employees can badge into work anytime before core working hours. However, all egress badge access will be restricted until the core hours have expired. This ensures that employees are present and engaged during the most crucial working hours.
To maximize the effectiveness of the one-way badge swipe policy, managers are required to log key performance indicators (KPIs) tied to keystrokes, mouse movements, and active monitor refresh rates. These metrics will help provide insights into employee engagement, productivity, and overall performance in the workplace.
LOL, is this a troll... I would like to see them try that in a 1 month span..
