Thread regarding Mutual of America Life layoffs

Where is the money?

As a former long time MoA employee I requested my pension funds be transferred to another financial institution. It took months to get a response and months more for the rollover to actually take place. I have a feeling if I didn’t show up in person in their New York headquarters demanding my paperwork I’d still be fighting to get MY money. If this is how they treat their former employees how to they treat their clients?

According to inside sources, Mutual of America will lose about $1.5B in employer contract terminations this year. Over 500 plans leaving. Greed, Festog, Donaldson, and Severin all got fired. The company is going to layoff about 100 more employees and freeze the pension and get rid of the lump sum. Steven Rich and the Board are seeking a buyer for the company which would include a portion of 320 Park.

The company is an absolute disgrace. No respect or morals.
