Job Title Change

Anyone else have their job title changed? We are being told it's a corporate initiative so all roles are aligned.

Yup, 6 times in 2 years with non stop reorgs .. no point in even trying to learn the new roles, just wait for it to change again

It does not matter. Use your functional title on resumes and in your email signature.

Mine is changing from being an analyst to a loan representative. I've been with the company 8 years and worked hard to get where I am at today. This new title doesn't look good on my resume.

Multiple times over the years. Shrug.

It's an Enterprise wide initiative. Some LOBs are complete, others are just starting. There were thousands of job codes and vague job names across the company. This is supposed to clean that up. Band and comp have been closely monitored to ensure no negative impacts. I wouldn't expect increases in most cases unless you were drastically in the wrong job code.

Tends to happen after Organizational changes or merging of groups. I've noticed it does not happen in all cases, however, as there are still quite a few one off orphan job titles out there.

My title was changed from PMP certified to PI-P certified. Now all the PMP certified folks pay me a 10% commission

I had it changed in the past to align groups the merged into a new bank model. It was considered a laterral move. No extra money or bonus.
