Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Q: Does an English major make a good leader of the technology department?

A: If you answered yes to the question above, you must still use an abacus.

Why are we reducing headcount based upon location and not based upon talent? We have technology to bring virtual teams together but we are not using it. I guess they don’t teach anything about computers at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

A very good English Major can sell a piece of shit as a rose.

They can manipulate and twist others words. They can tell a lie as if it was the truth.

They can pretend to be someone who is knowledgeable but knows nothing other than how to manipulate and repeat others words in a choreographed dance and symphony. OO to the English Major who knows nothing but makes everyone think they can sing. The quarterly reviews were based on this manipulation using general wording and many hidden doors.

The woman or the man who is under the woman. Note there is a CTO who claims his original back ground is English literature.

Seriously, it eludes me that a major financial institution would leave IT decisions to an English major. We're not diagramming sentences. Every recent decision made reeks of stupid. But it goes beyond that. If you listened closely to the December all hands, you would have picked up that she made all the decisions on work at home exemptions. No one else in that bloated bureaucracy had an input? So what we really have is an incompetent megalomaniac running the show.

It's a shame. I really did (and do) like the work, but the sheer incompetence at the top of the food chain is astounding. At some point, they need to learn that you cannot slash and cut your way to growth.

Interesting hash tag but the tolerated (one might go so far as to say encouraged) racism and stereotyping in corporate america against one particular segment of society did not have its origin with the english major associated to this post. The targeted attacks and desired extermination of the european white male on planet earth is an outgrowth of PC and has been embraced by the so called modern day progressives. They'll not stop until they wave the banner 'mission accomplished'. Long live the hypocrisy of diversity and inclusion.

That's right, competence is not important in these days of excess money printing. It's all about diversity and getting the ratios correct! Managers like this are what's needed to keep this going ...
