Big HR (GL) meeting for employees across departments. What are u hearing? layoffs? Employees told to reschedule all meetings and attend must meeting on Wed.

I certainly don't have an hr meeting on my calendar.
Just because HR is having a meeting, why are we assuming its about layoffs? Aren't they allowed to have meetings too? We have all-hands meetings all the time that we are required to attend.
I heard it's been changed on Tuesdays for 2016. Anyone can confirm?
Have they changed the day of the week to Tuesday? It has been Wednesday forever. Are they trying to catch us off track?

Only heard the same HR employees must attend this meeting on wed. Layoffs are usually on tues. no meeting scheduledfor me on Tuesday as of today! So wish me and all good luck. We need a HR insiders to share.
