Most likely your offer letter did not put limits on how far you can live from a core location. Why should your boss tell you where to live when you are willing to commute to work?

Yes can confirm, my immediate manager was told either go to a hub or get severance
Seems that if you are within range of a HUB data center you either come in or you will be fired. If you are outside the range then they are looking to RIF as many as possible. The farther away you are the more likely you will be picked.
Hint to those wishing to stay, if you are close enough that you could commute, volunteer to come back in now, it will save your job.
I'm on MyWork. I Live 85 miles from a Core Office.
I was told I have to come off of MyWork by April 1st..They are getting a cube for me..that;s it..I was given no threat of job loss..just I had to come back to the Office (or relocate to another office area.
is this just tech or other bank groups as well?

yes i was laid off and i lived more than 35 miles away and this seems to be right...i was never called back to work when others were asked...
Oh yeah, it's true and a BIG RIF is coming beginning of summer...around June. AND they are trying to find ways not to pay severance by saying working in an office is a condition of employment and not doing so is a breach of employment...thus they don't need to pay severance. The slime is flowing......
Think you've been watching too much TV Saul. Just guessing because I've not been through the layoff process at the bank yet, but I can't imagine the bank is giving any reason for your removal from the team other than performance reasons which should be obvious if you got don't meets or your position was eliminated due to cost cutting. Think those reasons give them a legal blank check to whack whoever they want. It would take information I doubt you can actually obtain to prove they are actually targeting mywork people, but what do I know.
I have heard rumors but cannot confirm. I do know that I cannot afford housing within 35 miles of some of the offices in California. hopefully they would give those employees the opportunity to come in
I heard that if you are mywork and live more than 35 miles away from a key building you will be laid off this year. can anyone confirm that?
