Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Whatever happened to management leading by example?

This makes me so friggin sick to hear and see people being given an ultimatum to work in a F@#%ing office who live more than an hour away to either select between a office that is located in a damn enitrely different state other than where they reside if they want to keep their job. This CLEARLY shows that the senior leaders as far up as BM himself and his direct reports could care less for the employees as long as they get their millions of dollars bonuses. Majority of the employees have families and they can't just pick up and move like that. I understand BM has a law degree so he knows what's he's doing but his senseless and non caring actions for the hard-working employees get let go for greedy leaders just so they can make their millions and have a good looking resume. Brian himself needs to move to Charlotte to where is headquarters is located because from the last I heard he works for Bank of America NOT Boston Fleet anymore so move to Charlotte if he's making people go back into an office environment. LEAD BY EXAMPLE SENIOR LEADERS and stop telling us about work/life balance because if your employees aren't happy then it can impact the customers. Of course if the employees aren't happy they can leave but it's not that easy for us middle class working folks that either get no to little bonuses/pay increase s. Think about all of the productivity time being lost because someone has to travel more than an hour one way to work everyday. Maybe book smart on paper but sure as hell too bright in some other areas.

I must've missed something...Are all mywork employees getting notice already that they have to come into an office or get laid off?

The problem I have is all of the "exceptions" to the forthcoming rule. There are many managers who work from a "home office" and live in another city far away from Charlotte. If you look these people up on Flagscape it shows them being in Charlotte. If BAC is doing away with My Work and is requiring folks to come into the office there should be NO exceptions whatsoever! Either you move or your out of a job.

Bring back Hugh McColl as CEO, at least he cared about the employees.
