I don't work at B of A but I do have an account there ($200K+). Every time I go to the local branch, I have to wait in a LONG line to get to a teller.
Even though the new "cool looking" branch has 5 teller windows, there's never more than 2 tellers actually there to serve customers. I could care less how "hip" they make the branch ambiance. I just want to get my business done and go back to my life. B-of-A seems to think that if they make the branch look like an Apple store, I'll "dig" the bank. They're WRONG!
There are always 3 "hip young people" standing at the front door trying real hard to get me to use the ATM, and they're basically worthless - both the greeters AND the ATMs.
I've complained to every manager that will listen, and a few who just blew me off. I asked them why don't they take just one of those "greeters" and put them to work as a teller? The manager just tells me that's not their job. I guess they're in training to be Wal*Mart greeters when they get old. In the mean time, they can read the latest post on their FB page.
Clearly if the executives at B-of-A have their way, there will be no more branches and we'll be expected to do our banking on an iPad. I'm getting ready to close my account before we get to that point.
