WB ATL

Can anyone please tell me, with the grocery and WB combo team is there a WB ATL ? If so is this happening in every store or on a store by store basis. ALso what is the WB ATL job description, do they make their own schedule or does the TL of the combo team make the schedule for everybody?

PLease shed some light on this. Thanks!

In the MA, it depends on the store sales. Some big stores have till next year to transition, some have already done it.

Depending on the STL, they might do a panel, some will just pick. It will be just 1 TL for WB/FE/Grocery (in some combination thereof) and an ATL for the others.

I have seen a WB TL become the main TL as well as a Front End TL be the main "super team" TL.

I'm super-lucky as I am an ex-TM that visits a ton of stores and get it first hand. I give two f#$ks about the biz but miss my WFM family and one of my favorite jobs.

NorCal here. At our high volume store we started GroBody back in August, and then became market team in October. We have 2 grocery atls and one wb atl. Wb atl writes a suggested sched for wb then hands it in to Market TL, and then it gets fine tuned from there. The Market TL has the final say in the sched. (Wb atl also does the ordering for supps. ) On occasion a wb TM will work grocery depending on call outs, labor, etc.

The way I see it is one TL and 2 ATLs. I find it hard to believe that any current TL would be able to handle the other departments. My theory doesn't make sense financially, but that's the way I see it. How could any non-grocery TL be able to handle grocery?

The grocery WB combo teams allow for 2 atls but I would be very surprised if the WB atl will spend all of their time in WB. Whether or not your team is combining-- you should already know this based on your stores sales volume. The first round of combo teams in the mid Atlantic has a deadline of end of FP 4 (January) for stores below $650k / week.

You might get assigned to roles and teams you didn't anticipate or have any interest in. It seems to vary from store to store as of now and not based solely on sales. They should ask for input before assigning changes.

In the store I used to work at there is still a WB ATL, but her and most of the WB team get scheduled more hours in grocery than they do in WB.

I am a market team leader and I have one atl per team. I choose to write the schedule for the whole team but my atls certainly have a lot of input in the schedule

Lol. Market. That's some bad cut and paste from Target's playbook. Do we have any original ideas any longer? ANY?

Also, if there's a Market team, will there be a Foods team and a Whole team? Just curious.

Nope. It will be Market TL and Market ATL. You will be over Gro, WB, and Spec.
