When you contact global help desk, most items are already being handled by external vendors. There is a big push to online requesting so it routes to the most comfortable cost effective option. I use to be in team member services. When workday password resets were taken away and moved to global help desk within 2 weeks we were informed to make Tms use the online request system as the number of request were overwhelming the system. As well we were instructed to make sure Tms new how to use the newly introduced password management system as we basically pay the outside vendors per issue.

Last week I was on hold waiting in the help desk queue for 20 minutes. Ridiculous.
GHD is tech support. MSI jobs will soon go to vendors. As an MSI it's already being talked about.
Stay away. The sweeter the position, the most likely you'll be the first to go. Marketing and graphics used to be a sweet sweet gig and now they're gone. Metro systems integrators (our it guys) is currently the cushy sweet gig... seriously look elsewhere.
