Since Whole Foods is usually located in mid to high-income areas and Montgomery has a median household income of $43,390 (according Sperling’s Best Places), this isn’t where you would expect to find a Whole Foods. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the average median household income is $51,939. However, the local population is very excited about the opening, and if Whole Foods can deliver in Montgomery, then it could open up an entirely new strategy for future geographical placement.

The detroit store seems to be doing great besides that pesky Hepatitus A scare that rattled the company's image yet again. Besides that, it's just puppies and unicorn farts!!

yeah they sure like opening stores in the worst locations don't they? i'm sure a lot goes into it that they have to plan for years in advance, and i know availability on locations isn't wide open, but still come on.

how's that one in detroit doing? serious question i have no idea.
