Whatever you do, do not contact human resources at Bank of America as they collaborate with the managers. They aren't there to help you. They are there to protect the Bank. Do not contact the Legal Department if you work outside of Legal either because they are only there to manage the lawsuits and will make sure you are on the next layoff list as YOU ARE A POTENTIAL LAWSUIT. If you are in the Legal Department, put your head down and work and NEVER complain. (These words come directly from my current manager.) If your name isn't on the layoff list now, BUT you decide to speak up about anything, (including financial errors and not just your feelings), your name WILL appear on that list once you make that call. I've seen it happen too many times to count. Be especially careful of associates that were inherited from the ML merger. They were expertly trained to cover their own a** and know how to make you look incompetent, foolish and/or crazy. When posting internally, make sure you haven't recently voiced issues as it will be used against you, (especially if you were brave enough to go to your manager directly). Honesty is NOT appreciated. I suggest waiting to make a transfer request until your review is complete to make certain you have at least 6 months until the next one to get out without blemishes. Good luck to all and remember to keep it to yourself or be prepared to make the list.

@LCCsiAf-8Xyxb had a similar experience, fortunate had lots of evidence and was in a protected class. Because I had what I would call a success file, I could disprove my managers BS. They let me apply for other jobs, I found one. Later, when investigation was complete, manager fired, got a mystery adjustment to my salary that made up for my lost bonus that year.
Dear Addison Employee - Advice and Counsel is NOT the legal department or the legal operations department. I promise you that anyone who tried reporting management issues in the legal department are no longer employed. Also, any case that is opened relating to management issues in the legal matter management system is disguised. This is not done to protect the employee, this is done to protect the manager. Inquire. I dare you. I rolled the dice and reported my manager and my case was entered in the system after my dismissal and also disguised to protect the manager. I have this information. I promise you, this is very true. Sometimes I wonder why I took that chance knowing that EVERY SINGLE TIME the outcome was never for the employee complaining. I The subconscious is very powerful though and I think I had to test my value because I was working so hard and supporting managers that didn't care to fix the issues. After a while, I was so drained and unhappy and no end or possibility to get out of a role that nobody wanted. I wasn't going to quit so I set myself up in a sense and of course lost my job. Last thing, as they were preparing to let me go, my closest friends were asked to distance themselves from me. Most did. I will never forget these events. Extremely devastating but a lesson I will never forget. Moved on.... but will never forget it.
Advice and Counsel is not the Legal Department.
I agree treatment and approaches vary by department. I was in Legal Ops, and raised concerns I found in reporting. Shortly thereafter (within weeks), management took actions toward me consistent with the "manage out" strategy I observed in my fairly long tenure. It is an understatement to say I felt devalued as an associate. I found a better opportunity and left as quickly as possible. My quality of life has improved drastically and I only look back in concern for my teammates who remain. It is a sad commentary but not unique and will happen again. And again.
Addison is a really bad environment - incompetent management. You can almost smell the poo there is so much a---kissing and brown nosing. Karma has a way of biting one in the butt.
Maybe in Addison. Not where I am. I have used advice n council a few times over the years to report ULs and team leads that thought they could away with anything and I am still here over a decade going strong. To paint every dept with such a broad brush is a bit silly. Dont get me wrong, I imagine this type of thing does occur...but using words like "WILL" is just not true and I have proven it. Js...
Addison
Where is this going on ?
This is correct in CRT too. Even the smallest complaint made to a manager will make you a target. They only want people who will brown nose and are easily brain washed by the bank to stick around.
