Have a meeting with regional president on the 8th, most of our department is on a list, pretty much all full timers. Management is in the first meeting. Meeting is mandatory. Could this be a store closure? A layoff? Rumors have been circulating of transfers to other stores that haven't been built yet.

Google is where we have to go to get company info...wow what transparency!
Google "marietta whole foods" in Google News. It's a current article talking about WFM closing and reopening five miles away outside of Cobb County as a 365 format.
@3yrs The AGS store. I'll make a new post when the day comes to update on what's going on. As far as I know, we are the only store in the SO region to have this meeting.
@3mk1 which store?
Yeah! Tell us what days and times you prefer on a signed paper if it makes you feel better but don't expect it! We have a business to run and are just trying to win back your happiness! Oh bye the way did you fill out your culture compass? Gotta move that morale needle!.
My store in the South does with regional president on the 8th as well! It's an all store meeting for us though. Very last minute though. Kind of worried.
Is it just your department or all ful timers in the store? SW just recalled the "open availability" requirement for full timers about a week ago. Maybe that's going to be the case for your region as well? At our store TLs had a meeting beforehand to discuss how this would be reinstated given the current labor shortages, issues with the cs team and Kronos, and how far we will go to accommodate a more predictable schedule.
With macys and sears closing retail outlets (and i think walmart too) i wouldnt see some underwhelming locations being closed or re tooled to the cheap labor 365 format..remember when the economy tanked in the bush jr. Years and starbucks closed like 150 stores?? We had layoffs then..but this time the economy is bot the big problem but total mismanagement and bad pricing to beat the competition.s--- it up global and stockholder board, this is your baby and cannot be blamed on random teams like marketing, graphic artists, full timers etc..
Nah probably more layoffs or store closing. Doing this on the day of earning announcement is a dead give away.
Probably more of that hospitality crap. Is that across the country or just down here in ol' FL? Apparently someone in the offices suddenly remembered that we get customers in our stores, so we have to be nice to them. I wonder whose college project this is?
What stores are closing. Any in MA I hope not.
Why not wait and see what it is before u talk about layoffs and store closing
That stock price been dipping under 30$ again.......
Maybe they got some leeway with the landlords ar these locations to close the wfm and re-open with the 365 stores.and the current tms are gonna have to reapply for positions at lesser wages..hmmmmmm.the ol earnings call...
Looks like they need talking points for the quarterly earnings report on the 8th after the bell- bet its closing and layoff's - telling stores in AM and telling investors on the earnings call that they proudly closed under performing stores and laid off hundreds of folks to impress the analysts going forward and preventing a bloodbath from the free fall of the stock price. Team Member Happiness- gotta love it!!
Region?
could be laying off the full time tms /people who have been there the longest with the most pay
Are only full time people on the list to come to the meeting? If the store was closing they would tell everyone, not just the FT people.
There are rumors of after-Christmas layoffs in the SW/rocky mountain region
talk first week of february
