I wonder why people stay in this company when there is a constant threat of layoffs.

@gmy - I agree and that's why I stayed. I wasn't going to leave a year of pay and a prepaid bonus on the table. I knew I was skilled enough to find a new job when I was ready so I waited until the opportunity arose to indicate I would appreciate a package and it all worked out.
@rqf, this is the time you need to start worrying! Things can change real quick.
My work life balance is great right now. I like my boss and the team is OK. Cannot ask for more (well, I'd love to have a few thousand bucks more in pay, but whatever..)
Why not stay and hope for severance? Currently I am being paid for basically moving the mouse around, completing leadership learning, attending meetings, and waiting for a new project
@gmy I would do the same.
We stay because we have put up with so much sh-- we think we deserve the severence
Yah well the grass isn't as dog-sh*t laden elsewhere as BOA is!
I like it here. I know it's dysfunctional - yet, I've been around the block (37 years of work experience) and I know that the grass is not greener.
